![]() I reached out to Fishbowl partner, Beverly Lang at Diversified Business Solutions for some help on the QuickBooks points since that is not my forte. That being said, let’s dive right into these claims. Needless to say, I have walked enough companies through the setup of Fishbowl to be able to tell you where we shine and where we could use improvement. I have logged over 1,000 hours of remote training and 81 full days of in-person training with companies around the US. To give a little bit of my background, I have worked at Fishbowl for almost 6 years, 4 of which I was doing training and implementation of the product. Fishbowl has historically played in the SMB space while NetSuite has been known to work with the larger, mid-market to enterprise sized companies. In other words, I’m just flattered that they have heard of us. Let me start by admitting that the fact that Fishbowl is even being mentioned on NetSuite’s website has me feeling like I’m back in 9th grade when one of the varsity football players would happen to know my name. I also just happen to have some extra time on my hands at the moment, as many others likely do during this economic slowdown, so I figured this would be a great time to put my thoughts down. Now while I’m not comparing the whitepaper that NetSuite has listed on their site to the fake news being spread during this global crisis, I will say that there are a lot of claims they make about Fishbowl and QuickBooks that need to be contested. Trying to find sources and researching every bit of media that constantly is so time consuming and exhausting, it’s amazing that we all haven’t given up at this point. Whether it be the news, radio, social media or even a text from a friend who’s “sister has a neighbor who has an uncle in the military that was just in a meeting with Trump” the COVID-19 outbreak has turned everything into hear-say. In these crazy times it’s hard to believe anything you read.
